After working on the original web site for Manhattan Beach boutique - Tabula Rasa Essentials - for several years, StylePrice founding partner Ron Farber saw a need for an online boutique experience that could introduce people to new high end products as they come into the marketplace. He realized his new partner and Styleprice co-founder Maureen McBride had a winning formula in her brick-and-mortar boutique that changed as times and brands do, and felt a need for boutique sites amongst the giant shopping sites online. Most of which don't really guide you to great new products from smaller brands that might not have a giant advertising budget. This was evident when searching online for many of the great products carried in Tabula Rasa's Manhattan Beach shop. Some of the best new products have a very limited web presence.

At the next opportunity, Ron offered up the idea of a bigger, better, web boutique which could take advantage of the latest technology and social networks to Maureen, and they agreed to team up to bring the best of many worlds to the web through StylePrice.
